Sociedade Hípica Portuguesa
The Sociedade Hípica Portuguesa represents national equestrianism. For the good of the sport and in the name of equestrian causes.
The Sociedade Hípica Portuguesa (SHP) has a place in the history of the city of Lisbon, of Portugal and of national equestrianism. On March 23, 1911, a group of riders founded the SHP. Francisco Assis Jara de Carvalho, Francisco Xavier de Almeida, Jayme Roque de Pinho, José Ricardo Cabral and Manuel da Costa Latino established a mission that has been passed down from generation to generation of members.
With a riding school, competitions and more it is one of the oldest riding establishments in Portugal.
